How was the beginning in Jiu-jitsu? I started training at 16, at Jacaré Academy, influenced by my cousin Mauricio and my friends Leozinho and Ricardinho.
When did you decide to follow a sport career? Naturally it was the path ahead of me and I decided to follow it.
Tell us something about your training for competitions.. I have a strong team and several peers to train with, besides, I try to make a physical preparation with my judo friends.
Tell us about championships I try to fight as many championships as possible, but always taking in consideration my physical, technical and emotional situation.
Have you any superstition or mania on fighting days? A long time ago I used to shave my hair off and read Psalm 90, but currently I stopped that, and I just have my hair painted blue, though it is not a superstition.
Do you take any special care about you nourishment ? I follow a nutrition advice from Dr. Mariana Belém
How was your best fight ? I have had many good championships, yet, the titles that I got when I won ABSOLUTE category at the World Black Belt were unforgettable.
How did you get your nickname? I used to be very skinny and the tallest and the guys from the Academy began to call me Comprido, naturally, as people heard it, even magazines got the habit of calling me this way.
What would you do if you were not a fighter? I would be a beggar.
Which is the difference between Comprido FIGHTER and Comprido on a daily basis? Actually there is no difference.
